The Period Pain Project is an open research community exploring how people experience, manage, and think about period pain. We believe period pain has been overlooked and underserved for way too long.
Because we've obsessed over the science of period pain for the past 7+ years.
In 2015, we met at Cornell University and started to research the most evidence-based menstrual relief options. Mimi was struggling with severe period pain interfering with her life. Courtney was studying Dietetics and learning about the power of nutritional medicine.
In 2017, we launched De Lune supplements for menstrual relief. Thousands of 5-star reviews later, we wanted to take our mission to the next level by creating a community of shared knowledge - bigger than any one product.
In 2022, we partnered with Dr. Laura Payne at Harvard Medical to launch the Period Pain Project. Together, we're collecting data for a groundbreaking research study on period pain perceptions, stigmas, and endurance behaviors. All while helping you better understand your period pain and your best relief options. Win-win-win!
Here's to giving period pain the care it deserves.
